K.I. Samen continues to build on broad, future focused breeding.
New bloodlines and strong PP bulls
During the August index run, K.I. Samen presents the homozygous polled bull Red Rocks MARTIAN RED PP with his first breeding values. This red-and-white bull makes a strong debut. He ranks fourth among the homozygous polled red-and-white bulls with a conformation score above 100. Weggelhorster KJELL RED PP also debuts with more than 1,000 kg of milk and above-average width traits, making him a very welcome addition to the polled segment.
As the title indicates, K.I. Samen continues to build a broad range and has therefore added the new young sire Broeklander Hipo LYSANDER PP rf to its range. He is also homozygous polled and interesting because of his new bloodline. He is a son of the daughter proven Logic PP, who currently ranks third in Canada. Logic PP has significantly improved his figures, mainly thanks to the performance of his milking daughters.
Well-known names such as Drouner ABRAXAS RED P and Drouner POTENCY RED also continue to perform at a good level. The daughter group of POTENCY RED clearly showed at the National Red-and-White Show in Mariënheem that attractive, well-built conformation can go very well together with high production.
HELIUM and RAMBAM rf continue to impress
SJK HELIUM continues to develop strongly. In the UK, he is one of the best-selling bulls and very positive reports about his milking daughters have been coming in for some time. He is now also showing what he can do in practice in the Netherlands. HELIUM rises strongly in this index run and combines high milk production with very good udder health and strong fertility.
Bonhill RAMBAM rf also continues to stand out. He improves with every index run, and his daughters show a strong, wide-built type, with more width than height. RAMBAM rf also combines more than 2,000 litres of milk with good fertility.
Strong results again for Belgian Blue
Within Belgian Blue, K.I. Samen once again confirms its strong position in short gestation length and calving ease. With five bulls among the top for calving ease, the results of many years of selection for these traits are once again clearly visible.
The Bruno sons BRUTUS van de Graashook, BEER van de Graashook and BOBO van de Graashook once again perform very well. The Mogli sons MOOS van de Graashook and MIEL van de Graashook also continue their strong performance. With these results, K.I. Samen once again shows in this index run that consistent selection for trouble-free calvings continues to deliver strong results.
