Double Gold for K.I. Samen!
K.I. Samen once again proves its success in the Dutch breeding value index – delivering not just one, but two top-ranking bulls. Poppe KAYNE shows that his daughters not only improve with age, but do so far beyond expectations. KAYNE is the only son of Jacuzzi to score higher than Jacuzzi himself. Remarkably, Kayne was selected using common sense, focusing on practical traits and conformation, rather than a DNA sample. In the Belgian Blue beef on dairy category, K.I. Samen also scores high with MOOS van de Graashook, now ranked as number 1 in the Netherlands! Moos shares this position with BRUTUS van de Graashook. Four K.I. Samen bulls appear in the top 5.

Multiple top performers in the red-and-white category
There’s more to Red Holstein than just Poppe Kayne. WR Centrum significantly boosts component levels, and Augustus P-Red holds his ground, also improving his components percentages – just like Red Rocks Celebration.
Focus on components in the black-and-white category
A notable climber in the Black Holstein segment is Visstein K&L Banner, an outcross bull sired by Bahrein out of a Background dam. He adds over 600 liters to his index while still maintaining impressive component percentages: 0.48% fat and 0.30% protein (over 100 kg of fat and protein). While his daughters may not win any shows, they prove to be hard workers, delivering highly valuable milk. Newcomer Florian rf also scores strongly on components, though currently with a bit less milk. In addition, VDR Slash lives up to the family name: his daughters perform excellently in both milk production and components. His dam, Sandra 2, was rightfully chosen as this year’s “Beste Boerenkoe” of the Netherlands.
Impressive debut for Moos and Ulf
In the Belgian Blue beef on dairy category, Moos van de Graashook makes a spectacular debut with a score of 136 in calving ease, taking the number 1 position which he shares with Brutus van de Graashook that also received the score of 136 in calving ease. Ulf van de Plashoeve also performs strongly with a calving ease of 129 and a gestation length of 88. These two newcomers add even more depth to an already impressive lineup of bulls from well-known and respected beef on dairy families.

New conformation record: Drouner Abraxas P Red
Finally, Drouner Abraxas P Red (aAa 513) deserves special mention. This polled bull, currently evaluated solely on conformation, has set a new record for K.I. Samen with a score of 112! His performance in production is also expected to improve. Abraxas P Red – breeding without the headaches!
Practical proven breeding!
