The daughters of two top red and white conformation sires make an impression.
Within the red and white segment, Drouner Abraxas Red P (Abundant P rc x Born P rc, aAa 513426) and Drouner Potency Red (Powernap x Pat Rat, aAa 432516) continue to stand out. In frame, udders and legs, the daughters of both sires show a strong and uniform overall picture. They combine dairy type and functional traits. With this, Potency Red and Abraxas Red P prove that their conformation transmission is not only correct on paper, but is clearly visible in practice. Both sires originate from the Drouner stud of Mts. Albring from Drouwenermond (NL).

Potency Red daughters: Fine balance between dairy type and strength
The Drouner Potency Red daughters are equipped with very strong frames and perfectly shaped rumps that show a slight slope and a lot of width. The type these animals show is excellent, the perfect combination of dairy type and strength, with that extra muscularity that shows they can easily handle high milk production. The udders of the Potency Red daughters also make an impression. The fore udders blend smoothly into the body wall, while the rear udders are high and wide attached, with slightly longer teats placed centrally under the udder. This makes the udders highly suitable for both the parlour and robot milking. In addition to the strong frames and udders, the legs also stand out. The legs are good, with an excellent front leg position and are placed nicely parallel under the body. The rear legs are also correct in position and quality, supported by very good claw health.

Daughter group of Drouner Potency Red makes a strong impression on the public
In October 2025, Drouner Potency Red made his debut at the Rundvee & Mechanisatie Vakdagen in Hardenberg with a daughter group, consisting of five red and white daughters and one black and white daughter. As one of the highest ranking conformation sires in the Netherlands, expectations were high for Potency Red to present such an impressive daughter group. And he fully delivered! The overall picture confirms what dairy farmers already said: Potency Red makes farmers happy. Following the success at RMV Hardenberg (NL), the plan is for Potency Red to present a group of second calvers on June 6, 2026, during the Nationale Roodbont Show in Mariënheem (NL).
Daughters Abraxas Red P: Plenty of space and capacity in the skeleton
The daughters of the heterozygous polled Abraxas Red P all stand out for the space and capacity in their skeleton, allowing them to handle production with ease. They show frames with wide forehands, plenty of space and depth in the mid section, and also width in the slightly sloping rumps. With a fine, typical dairy skeleton, the daughters clearly show the dairy type that their sire transmits. The fine bone structure, together with the fine skin and deep ribs, shows a lot of dairy quality.
Striking udder quality and correct legs
The excellent udder quality is particularly striking. The well shaped udders, which excel especially in the fore udder attachment and are sufficiently high in the rear, milk out very easily. The front and rear legs stand fully parallel under the wide frames, and during use in the ring the wide, easy stride is also noticeable. The legs are a clear trademark of Abraxas Red P: top quality legs with a correct set and stride, combined with healthy claws.

A lot of quality in the daughter group of Drouner Abraxas Red P
After the success of Drouner Potency Red at the RMV Hardenberg, K.I. Samen presented a daughter group of Abraxas Red P three weeks later at the Holland Holstein Show in Leeuwarden. This group also made a strong impression. The six daughters clearly showed their qualities. Although several red and white daughters of Abraxas Red P had already been featured before, including the impressive daughter group of the Van Delft family in the previous edition of our News Bulletin, K.I. Samen mainly showed black and white daughters in Leeuwarden. Abraxas Red transmits space, capacity, dairy type and excellent udder quality and legs.
